As I sit at my desk I see the sights of Paris

So, now I have decided to start my blog... I know this is what you have all been waiting for.
I have so much to update on since I have moved to Iowa but I am not sure I will have time to do this all right now. However, I will be doing it soon.
This post was inspired by the pictures that I have up in my office. While I was in Europe when i was in Grad school I picked up several prints from Paris and Brussels. When I got my new office here at Simpson College I noticed that I would not have any windows so I decided that these prints would be a lovely addition to my office that would create the appearance of the outdoors. So now while I am sitting at my desk I have a wonderful view of the Moulin Rouge, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Arch, and the Grand Palace. Lovely distractions from the mundane work week that remind me of some of the best times of my life.
These scenes make me miss all those people that I experienced those times with. They also make me want to go back to that time. I miss the learning that I experience at that time, learning that I do not feel I am experiencing now. I crave to be around those individuals that pushed me to be more, to be better than I was. I'm not sure if those individuals knew that they had that effect on me, hell I didn't even realize that until just recently.

I must now go back to work... this post will make more sense once I start updating the events of my life since leaving Arkansas.
